On April 15, 2025, the CYPC Analysis Meeting for Business Operations in Q1 2025 revealed that CYPC maintained a good state of work safety in the first quarter, made steady progress in operating performance, and achieved overall improvement in "one profit and five ratios". The world's largest clean energy corridor fully demonstrated its comprehensive benefits, generating approximately 57.68 TWh of electricity, a year-on-year increase of about 9.4%, and thus successfully achieved a "good start" in the first quarter

Since the beginning of this year, CYPC has carried out its tasks from a strategic standpoint, with high efficiency and a high standard of execution. These achievements are made with the support of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, the State Grid Corporation of China, and China Southern Power Grid, and under the leadership of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) and CYPC's Board of Directors. To be specific, its water resources have been efficiently utilized, and key tasks have been promoted in an orderly and effective manner. Both operational performance and work safety have been steady with a positive trend, laying a solid foundation for completing the mid-year milestone and achieving the annual targets.

The second quarter marks the end of the annual maintenance and overhaul and the critical stage for flood control. The meeting called on all cadres and employees of CYPC to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles contained in the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and adhering to the general principle of making progress while maintaining stability. It also called for forging ahead with diligence and sparing no efforts to advance the key tasks for the year.

The tasks for the next stage were arranged at the meeting. Specifically, first, we must place a high priority on work safety and enhance the management of equipment and facilities. We must also improve the reliability of unit operations and ensure high-quality development with high-level safety. Second, we must spare no effort to safeguard the safety of the Yangtze River, make adequate preparations for flood control, and successfully conclude the annual maintenance and overhaul. We must solidify the foundation for safe flood control and fully leverage the comprehensive benefits of the Pillars of a Great Power, so as to contribute to ensuring the safety of people's lives and property and to promoting the development of the economy. Third, we must engage in joint planning for high-quality development. We must promote top-down linkage, tap potential and increase efficiency. We must also enhance value creation capabilities to ensure our role of a "pillar" and "stabilizer" in the stable growth of CTG. Fourth, we must thoroughly implement the study and educational activities centered around the eight-point decision of the CPC Central Committee on improving Party conduct, and make efforts to promote the integration of study, inspection, and rectification. This will effectively transform the outcomes of these learning and educational activities into new achievements in solving problems and promoting work progress.

HE Hongxin, Secretary of the Party Committee of CYPC, delivered a speech at the meeting. LIU Haibo, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CYPC, as well as Plant Manager of the Three Gorges Hydropower Plant, presided over the meeting. Other participants were CYPC leaders, including Chief Financial Officer/Engineer/Economist, the Assistant to the General Manager, and the main heads from all its departments and units.
